This one is from a couple of months ago. I love "Ichi The Killer". And Asano. And Miike. Oh, well... fangirl mode off.

Damn shame that Ichi had to take 'em out. Oh well, at least he finally found the pain/love he was looking for.

What is "Ichi the Killer?" Sounds familiar.
:iconmynameisswann:
It's (one hell of) a movie by the Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike :). One of my favorites. And Kakihara is one of the two main characters.

Yeah, I read the breakdown proposed on Wikipedia for the movie;sounds pretty depraved. I don't think you could find something like that over in the US here, lol. Your Kakihara drawing looks pretty accurate to the cover of the film; definite likeness. What else has Miike done; the name is presented as if he has done other pieces?
:iconmynameisswann:
Well, you can look him up in imdb. He's done about 80 movies so far, although a big part of them are pretty normal yakuza stories.
His really crazy stuff includes: Audition, Dead or Alive: Hanzaisha (a pretty straightforward movie with the craziest ending ever), Visitor Q, The Happiness of the Katakuris, Gozu, Izo, Box - his segment it the Three Extremes, Sukiyaki Western Django and his episode in the Masters of Horror (which was also the final entry of the first season) - Imprint. But as far as I know it was banned in the US. It's got some extremely unpleasant torture scenes.

At least this is what I've seen so far :)

Wow,sounds like you're quite the movie connesieur. I just saw Sukiyaki Django and I liked it; but there are very few individuals around that would probably appreciate that sort of thing. Where I live most asian/anime subject matter either gets to weird for people or is made fun of.
